The Need:

While over 2 billion of the world's population would claim to be Christian, that leaves more than 4 billion people in the world who are outside of the Kingdom of Christ. Most of the world's believers are concentrated in North America, South America and Europe. While the church is growing rapidly on some continents, the number of Christians remains remarkably small in many countries. Consider the following facts (From Frontier Harvest Ministries: World Mission Statistics):

• In many countries like India, Thailand and the Middle East, less than 3% of the population is Christian.
• Out of 16,689 distinct people groups in the world, 6,898 are still unreached with the Gospel. Many have never heard even for the first time.
• India alone has 2,500 distinct people groups. Many have never heard the Gospel.
• 40% of the Church's entire global foreign mission resources are being deployed to just 10 over-saturated countries already possessing strong, citizen-run home ministries.
• The North American church spends less than 1% of its income on the truly unevangelized world.

As the Bible says in Romans 10:14: "How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" They can't hear unless you and I help!

KHI Is Meeting the Need:

We are called to fulfill the Great Commission to the unreached throughout the world, until Jesus returns. We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Christ.

KHI fulfills the Great Commission by presenting the Gospel and discipling the believer in unreached areas of the world. Together with our national ministry partners, we identify regions or villages where no churches are present. We then assign indigenous teams of two with the responsibility of beginning a church planting movement in their region.

With Scripture as our guide, we share the message of salvation through faith in Christ and begin the process of discipleship. Home churches are started in each village which quickly multiply by starting additional churches in nearby villages. The rapid conversion of the multitudes, creation of indigenous home churches and multiplication of these churches throughout people groups are characteristic of church planting movements.

In every region we serve, a Church Planting Movement Initiator team (CPMI), works diligently to train lay pastors and bless new believers with training materials, prayer, fellowship, and understanding the Word of God.

Discipleship is vital to every church we plant. We are dedicated to the development and spiritual growth of each believer in our ministry. We know that God values each person and wants them to grow in Christ personally and together as His Church. When individuals grow as disciples so do the churches and multiplication occurs. Our goal is to create healthy, self-sustaining home churches where believers mature and in turn help to establish more churches.

Daily, we are investing resources, Christian training materials, prayer and financial support to our CPMI teams so they are equipped to shepherd, teach and minister the Word of God. Prayer is a cornerstone of our work and we depend daily on God for His blessing and guidance.

Our two-person teams are being deployed to reach areas of the world where the Gospel has never been heard. We are using local and national partners who already know the culture and language.

Our in-the-field support costs are $600 per month for each of our designated church planting teams. This monthly $600 includes the personal support of a two person CPMI team at $220 and all the resources necessary for the evangelism and discipleship of the souls within the designated region at $380. Each designated region has a population base of at least 60,000 people. Therefore, over a 3 year period we anticipate reaching all 60,000 people with the Gospel and establishing self sustaining home churches, all for $0.36 per person! 100% of the financial contributions to KHI will be used to accomplish this strategy in each of the designated regions.
